A lover in captivity.
• A shrine to Febronia of Xenosaga • |
The second and final time we meet febronia in person, we are inside of KOS-MOS' conscious. Memories of Shion are being projected, most of them painful and from the time before the miltian conflict. If you look closely on one of the official namco drawings, in the bottom right corner you will see that the church was an actual real place. It's surrounded by wood, just as in the encephalon, and has a small fence around it. There is no doubt they are one in the same.
Febronia says that she came to this church because she had longed for a place where realian could find peace. Realian have no flaws, and can be whatever the person making them wants them to be, with hardly any restrictions. Often people look at them in disgust, the perfection of the society. Realian have, in some cases, become more popular and used then humans, seemingly over running the human race.
The church itself is old, the clearing it stands in is similar to a circle, a bridge covers a pathway of water to the left, then you can enter through a portion of the smashed court yard wall on the left hand side. The original entrance gate is smashed, leaving the metal door in a pile amongst rocks and fallen d'ebris. Behind the church are a few planted trees, and on the right is a back door, locked until you get inside. The front door of the church is directly below what would have been a bell hanging from an overlaying part of brick, but the bell and the hanging lay in a pile to the left of the doorway, no doubt another victim of time. The church itself is brick, and the doors are wood, indicating it has a lot of years on it self.
Inside there isn't much either. You walk up an aisle with a red carpet, either side is framed by a few wooded benches where people might have sat. The front has table with a candle on it, enough away from the wall that you can walk behind it, and up a very small set of stairs on either side you come to a wall with more alters and designs on them. The direct right up where these alters are has that door locked outside, check it to unlock it. The room to the left near the alters either houses the boss tiamat, or is a very small quaint room with a bed directly opposite the door, in front of a fireplace, a dresser to the right hand wall, and a desk on the same wall as the door.
